This Privacy Policy explains how Staxio Labs(“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you install and use the SKUsnap app (“SKUsnap”, “the App”) for Shopify. By installing or using SKUsnap, you agree to this Policy. Questions: contact@staxiolabs.com.
1. Who this policy covers
SKUsnap is a tool for Shopify merchants that uploads product images in bulk and matches them to products and variants. This Policy covers data we process about the merchant — the Shopify store and the person who installs and operates the App.
SKUsnap does not collect, store, or process your customers’ (shoppers’) personal information. The App does not request access to your orders or customer records, and we do not receive the names, addresses, emails, or payment details of your store’s customers.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to provide the App’s functionality.
a. Store and account information.
On install, Shopify provides your store domain (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com) and an access token that lets the App work with your store. We store these securely to keep the App connected.
b. Product catalog data.
To match image files to the right products, SKUsnap reads product and variant data from your store: product titles, handles, SKUs, barcodes, options, the specific metafield (namespace/key) you choose, product/variant IDs, and existing image references. This is used to build a matching index and to record which products an upload was applied to.
c. Image files and import details.
When you upload images (via ZIP, CSV, a list of URLs, or a connected cloud folder), the App processes those files to add them to your products. We store import metadata such as file names, the value each file matched on, the resulting product/variant and media IDs, status, and import log entries so you can review and audit each import. Uploaded files are processed transiently and removed from our servers after the import completes; the resulting images are stored in your Shopify account.
d. Cloud storage connections (optional).
If you connect Google Drive or Dropbox for scheduled syncs, we store the OAuth access and refresh tokens and the connected account email, and we read the folders and image files you select. We request read-only access. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, which deletes the stored tokens.
e. Notification email (optional).
If you enter an email to receive import summaries, we store it and use it only to send those notifications.
f. Technical and usage data.
We keep operational data (job status, errors, and monthly image counts for plan limits) needed to run the service, enforce limits, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse.
3. How we use information
- Provide and operate the App’s image upload, matching, and scheduling features;
- Apply images to the correct products and variants in your store;
- Show previews, import history, and logs;
- Send the import summary emails you opt into;
- Enforce plan limits and process subscription billing through Shopify;
- Maintain security, debug issues, and improve reliability.
We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.
4. How we share information (service providers)
We share data only with providers that help us run SKUsnap, and only as needed:
- Shopify — the platform the App runs on and through which billing is processed.
- Cloud hosting & infrastructure — for application hosting, database, and background job processing.
- Google / Dropbox — only if you connect them, to list folders and retrieve the files you choose.
- Email delivery provider — only if you enable notification emails, to deliver them.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
5. Payments
Subscription payments are handled by Shopify Billing. SKUsnap does not collect or store payment card details.
6. Data retention
We retain store, connection, and import data while the App is installed so its features work. When you uninstall the App, or on a valid deletion request, we delete or de-identify the data we hold about your store within 30 days, except limited records we must keep to meet legal obligations. Uploaded image files are removed from our servers shortly after each import.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and storing access tokens in a restricted database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. International data transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location (e.g., EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data. To exercise them, contact contact@staxiolabs.com.
SKUsnap supports Shopify’s mandatory data-protection webhooks. Because the App does not store your customers’ personal data, customer data-request and customer-redaction webhooks are acknowledged with no customer data to return; the shop-redaction webhook triggers deletion of the store data we hold.
10. Uninstalling and deleting data
Disconnect cloud accounts anytime in Settings. Uninstalling SKUsnap from your Shopify admin revokes the App’s access; we then delete your stored data as described in Section 6. To request earlier deletion, contact contact@staxiolabs.com.
11. Cookies
The App’s interface runs inside Shopify admin and uses only the cookies/session storage necessary to function and keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
12. Children
SKUsnap is a business tool, not directed to or intended for anyone under 16.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy. We will post the new version with an updated “Last updated” date; material changes may be communicated through the App or by email.
